Likely to be the first AAA-quality blockchain game to launch later this year, Illuvium has their public sale this week. Coming in with a confusingly similar name is Illenium, a top-tier Electronic music artist making his NFT debut.
But the biggest news is that The Weeknd (the #1 ranked artist on Spotify) is dropping new music in NFT form.

About the creator
Illuvium is an upcoming open-world RPG adventure game with pokemon-like collection and battle mechanics. Items in the game will be NFTs on the ethereum blockchain, but using Immutable X to remove transaction costs and achieve sub-second transaction times. This is a very promising project aiming to be the first AAA-quality blockchain-based game.

About the drop
This release is the public sale of the project’s $ILV cryptocurrency, not a direct sale of NFTs. However, the project will release promotional NFTs after the sale is over for those who participated. All ETH used for purchases will be converted to points (1 point per ETH spent) and points can be redeemed for promo NFTs for a short time. Details on the promo NFTs are scarce, but the team mentioned that some emote NFTs would be included.
The price of ILV will start at $50 per token and gradually drop over the course of the sale (with increases as people buy). I recommend waiting for the price to stabilize a bit before buying and make sure you have a Metamask wallet. Euler Beats is a project for algorithmically generated art and music. All information is stored on the ethereum blockchain, unlike most NFTs, which store the media file elsewhere.

The Enigma collection includes 27 NFTs, which represent a single algorithmically-generated music and art piece. The Originals are auctioned first on Opensea, while prints can be bought after the auction is over. Holders of Originals have full commercial rights and get an 8% royalty from the sale of prints.
The max number of prints for each Enigma NFT is 160 and get exponentially more expensive as more are bought. Print holders can also burn a print and get 90% of the current print price (so could be profitable if several prints were bought after you bought one).

It’s hard to say how profitable the original auctions will be, but buying Enigma prints before roughly print number 40 is likely to be profitable.

Illenium has a sizable audience, but there is some risk that he fails to convert many of his followers to NFT buyers. Still waiting on more details and early images to get a better idea of the drop, but it’s definitely one to keep an eye on.
