About Erling Haaland
Along with Kylian Mbappe, Erling Braut Haaland is widely viewed as the most prolific prospect in world football.
I say “prospect” because they’re still both quite young (22 and 21, respectively), but Haaland has absolutely destroyed the German Bundesliga since autumn 2020.
So far in the 2021-22 season, he’s got five goals and three assists in four appearances. World Class strikers aim for one goal contribution per game. He’s doubling that so far.
He had 35 goal contributions in 28 appearances last year — 1.25 per game. He also racked up 10 goals in last year’s Champions‘ League, which topped the table. Pretty good for a team knocked out in the quarterfinals.
Comparing Haaland to Messi and Ronaldo at the same age (21), the youngster has notched 113 goals for club and country compared to 51 and 36, respectively. Mbappe had 118, and Pele (allegedly) tops the list with 282 by the end of his 21st year.
Haaland is set to move on from Dortmund in summer 2022, and his list of suitors is long and distinguished. The current odds-on favourites are Man City and Real Madrid, followed by Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool.

This is a /25 orange refractor from the 2020 Bowman Chrome set featuring Jasson Dominguez. While the card is 100% real, it looks about as authentic as my laminated fake ID. The guy just takes weird photos.

About Jasson Dominguez
Jasson Dominguez is the most speculative investment opportunity we’ve seen come through the line at Collectable. He’s been called “the highest-variance prospect in baseball, and maybe the highest-variance athlete in sports.”
Because he came up through the Dominican Republic in a very private way, and he’s seen so little action due to the pandemic, no one really knows what to make of him. That he added 25 lbs muscle in 2020 instead of playing baseball only adds to the uncertainty around the lad (seriously, he’s 18, and he’s huge).
Still only eighteen years old, he was signed two years ago by the Yankees for $5.1m (of their total available $5.4m pool).

Currently plying his trade at Low A Tampa in the Yankees organisation, even the most optimistic fanboys project he’s still three or four years away from the Bigs.
Drawing comparisons to Mickey Mantle (of course) and Mike Trout, Dominguez is a well-rounded player with excellent power, bat speed, foot speed, and arm strength.
However, his numbers in Tampa haven’t been great so far with an OPS of .738 and 61 strikeouts in 172 at bats.
