About the asset
In 2020, legendary guitar company Gibson released a limited edition of 50 guitars that were exact replicas of the axe Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi used in the 1970s. This is the prototype Iommi inspected and approved.
Peach Guitars, out of Colchester, UK, does a great job showing off one of the /50 units.
The original guitar is on display at the NYC Hard Rock Cafe.

About Tony Iommi and Black Sabbath
Coming out of Birmingham, UK, Black Sabbath are the godfathers of heavy metal, and Tony Iommi is responsible for their iconic sound.
While frontman Ozzy Osbourne is the best known member of the band, Iommi was the only consistent throughout the band’s 49 year history.
Sabbath were originally called the Polka Tulk Blues Band, which quickly and quite sensibly morphed to Earth and was later changed to Black Sabbath after some confusion with a similarly-named band. Boris Karlov’s Black Sabbath was the film at the cinema across the street from their studio at the time.
Black Sabbath sold over 70m records worldwide including more than 15m in the US.
Their album Paranoid “changed music forever,” and was named one of the top 100 albums of all time.
Iommi lost his fingertips in an industrial accident when he was seventeen, which contributes to his unique sounds. He’s recognised as one of the top 25 guitarists of all time and is heavily credited by Metallica and others for defining the genre.

Recent sales history and Valuation
Rally paid $50k for the guitar (including 20% retained equity kept back by Gibson). They also kept back a 20% sourcing fee.
